Litchfield Historical Society is hosting a Litchfield Road Levy Meeting

Litchfield Township has two Road Levies on the upcoming November election ballot. The first road levy is a 1-mill renewal 5-year levy that brings in $65,800/yr. This levy amount has been renewed since the late 1990s. The new additional road levy is for 2-mills to fund $203,200/yr. for 5 years.
Come learn about these levies and more Monday, September 19th, 7 – 8:45pm at the Litchfield Annex Meeting Room (behind Town Hall at 9266 Norwalk Rd., Litchfield).
Following a brief LHS business meeting, Melissa Clifford of the Litchfield Historical Society will present some fun facts & history on Litchfield roads. Trustee Mike Pope, the Twp. Road Manager, will share what it takes to maintain our township roads and the need for the requested levies. We will also share brief info of what else is on the upcoming election ballot.
This event is free, open to the public, and kid-friendly.
